Both Kevlar and Nomex have great chemical resistance.

Because the excellent abilities of that fibres are caused by their  chemical structure and not achived by a finish, they will not be lost even after often been washed.

Kevlar is a material which is mechanical very durable, it has applyying to its specific gravity a higher tearproofness than steal.

Nomex has a special high ability to isolate and has a very high resistance against heat.
